Management of Information Systems (IMIS)

IMIS brings a global perspective to the universal issues of standards and best practice in this increasingly important profession. There are over 14,000 members living and working in more than 70 countries around the world. The IMIS course is also recognised by Department of Education in the UK.

The Syllabus is divided into four discrete levels:    

·  Foundation Diploma.

·  Diploma.

·  Higher Diploma.

IMIS Foundation Diploma

The foundation Diploma components are made up of 6 modules; Communication skills, Arithmetic, Computing Awareness, Use of Packages, Book-Keeping and Office Practice. Completion of all the modules below will lead to the IMIS Foundation Diploma and will satisfy the entry requirements to the IMIS Diploma. The course is suitable for people who want to work with computers and thus need some appropriate education.

Entry Requirements:

The minimum entry requirements to register are two A level GCE plus three GCSE / GCE Ordinary level passes in five different subjects (including Maths and English) or equivalent overseas qualifications.  For Mature Students Entry Route and all students for whom English is not their first language will have to meet the following English language requirements as mentioned below: 

IELTS: 5.0 or above or internationally accepted any other equivalent level

TOEFL: 500 or TOEFL CBT 173.0 or above or internationally accepted any other equivalent level.

IMIS Diploma

 
At the completion of the foundation level, you will be progressed to the Diploma course. The course structure components are made up of 6 modules; Information Systems Practice, Business Fundamentals, Communication and Business Technology, Programming and Web Applications, Business Information Systems and Information Systems Building.

Entry Requirements:

The minimum entry requirements to register are two A level GCE plus three GCSE / GCE Ordinary level passes in five different subjects (including Maths and English) or equivalent overseas qualifications.  For Mature Students Entry Route and all students for whom English is not their first language will have to meet the following English language requirements as mentioned below:

TOEFL: 500 or TOEFL CBT 173.0 or above or internationally accepted any other equivalent level.

IMIS Higher Diploma 
The Higher Diploma course is an advancement from the Diploma level. The Course structure components are made up again of 6 modules; Business IS Project, Contemporary IS Development, Management Information Systems, Project Management, Database Development, IS Strategy.

Entry Requirements:

The minimum entry requirements to register are two A level GCE plus three GCSE / GCE Ordinary level passes in five different subjects (including Maths and English) or equivalent overseas qualifications.  For Mature Students Entry Route and all students for whom English is not their first language will have to meet the following English language requirements as mentioned below:
